The Ledbrook Team

The rehabilitation team at Ledbrook Clinic is co-ordinated by Dr Jeff Lindsay, a consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, who is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and licenced to practice with the General Medical Council (GMC).

The Orthotic Service is led by John Young, who trained and studied in Roehampton. Both are registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC-reg) the UK’s regulatory body and members of the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (MBAPO). The clinicians at Ledbrook are all extremely experienced independent United Kingdom fully qualified practitioners, held in the highest regard by their peers. They are not tied to any particular manufacturer or supplier which enables them to put the patient’s needs first when prescribing artificial limbs, assistive devices and healthcare services. Ledbrook’s multidisciplinary team members are all registered with their appropriate regulatory bodies in the UK and are full members of their relevant professional organisations.

Who We Are

The Ledbrook clinical and health care team are expert in rehabilitation medicine and provide the best in private orthotic and prosthetic care. Orthotics involves the provision of medical appliances such braces and splints to replace lost function. Prosthetics is the design, production, fit and supply of artificial limbs for upper or lower limb amputees and limb deficient people to improve their quality of life.

At Ledbrook we are also specialists in the provision of assistive technologies and health care services.

Ledbrook Clinic specialises in treating overseas visitors as well as United Kingdom residents, the patients we provide care for are usually from personal recommendation and referral from orthopaedic, vascular, cosmetic or general surgeons, private hospitals, embassies, insurance companies and solicitors or lawyers.

Ledbrook’s patient-centred independent rehabilitation team fulfil your specific requirements by using their considerable knowledge, expertise, professional network and business contacts to source suitable product ranges appropriate for you. We research and obtain these from trusted companies from around the world.

At Ledbrook Clinic we can provide a complete bespoke care package at an agreed fixed cost to meet your specific rehabilitation goals, giving you the best value for money service possible. We see the importance of providing treatment for patients of all abilities, which may range from transferring from bed and chair through to competing in paralympic sport; whatever your aspirations, we will help you reach your full potential.

The rehabilitation facilities available from Ledbrook Clinic include a fully equipped and professionally staffed Clinical Measurements Laboratory (Gait Lab) used for diagnostic reporting, remedial procedures, and alignment and adjustment of micro-processor controlled knee units.

Our full rehabilitation services are available seven days a week, and are routinely open early morning and late evening, allowing us to treat patients around their own busy schedules.

The Ledbrook Clinic can also fulfil all your medico-legal assessment and reporting requirements for insurance, legal and medical health purposes.

Our Prosthetic & Orthotic Clinic

The Ledbrook Clinic, Ledbrook Farm, Barston, Solihull, is based in new purpose built consulting and treatment rooms situated in beautiful grounds located within the Heart of England’s wonderful Warwickshire countryside.

Ledbrook’s own clinic is located, close to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and Birmingham International (BHX) Airport and Train Station. Patients can also be seen at one of our clinics in London, conducted at Harley Street.

We are minutes away from both junctions 4 or 5 of the M42 and its connecting motorway network. At Ledbrook Clinic we have extensive parking facilities and easy access for people who are less mobile or wheelchair users.

Hospitality
At Ledbrook we have our own chauffer who is available on a daily basis and can arrange pick up and hospitality for people arriving in Birmingham or London from the home countries and overseas.

Through our partners in the hotel, residential home and hospital sectors we can arrange and book any type of accommodation required, from staffed serviced hotel rooms through to 24hr professional nursing care.

Ledbrook Clinic can provide language translation services for overseas visitors and interpreters for the deaf and hard of hearing, we are also accustomed to treating the visually impaired.  The team can, where necessary, supply a chaperone service for patients during clinics.
