Imagine the pleasure of being involved in the design of your own footwear and getting to choose between hundreds of different high quality leathers in a vast range of colours, patterns and textures. All of our orthopaedic footwear can be manufactured in a variety of widths, as well as extra depth to accomodate insoles or swelling of the feet. Many of the styles can be made to a diabetic specification to reduce medial and forefoot pressure.
Using the traditional methods of the bespoke shoemaker and only the best-quality materials, we hand-make stylish, fashionable and modern orthopaedic shoes and other footwear that represents the very highest standards of British shoe-making. We also offer surgical shoes and arthritis footwear plus specialist shoes for people with diabetes to minimise the risk of diabetic foot problems.

Shoes for Ladies with Rheumatoid Foot
There is a growing body of women experiencing increasing difficulty in finding stylish comfortable footwear due to common foot pathologies. Conditions such as osteo and Rheumatoid arthritis are characterised by the destruction of both the osseous and soft tissues of the foot with the metatarsophalangeal joint being most affected. Joint damage and articular changes to the joint structure are the two main causes of shoe induced foot pain, requiring wider fitting shoes to accommodate the broadening forefoot.

The Ledbrook Clinic can offer bespoke orthopaedic safety footwear for industrial purposes, conforming to the relevant British standard EN 345-1:1993. The footwear can be designed and manufactured to the patient’s own medical requirements whilst incorporating the statutory Health and Safety requirements like steel toe-caps. We can offer many styles to meet your specifications.
