Welcoming a New Ledbrook Team Member – Kathie Drinan
We welcome Kathie Drinan to the Ledbrook Clinical Team. Kathie is a Consultant paediatric and young adult chartered physiotherapist.
She has 25 years of NHS experience, 17 of these as a specialist in paediatric neurology in both acute and community settings. As an NHS physiotherapist she specialised in the early years and was trained as an initial coordinator for the Team Around the Child approach.
Kathie has a varied caseload of children and young people ranging from 4 months to 25 years of age with a range of conditions that affect their gross motor function in one way or another.
She is a member of the NICE guideline development group developing guidelines for the transition from children’s to adult services, due to be published in 2016.
Conditions she treats include:
- Cerebral Palsy
- Developmental Delay
- Muscular Dystrophy
- Spinal Muscular Atrophy
- Acquired Head Injury
- Pre & Post Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy
- Pre & Post Botox
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Any other condition or syndrome that affects a child’s physical development
