This patient attended the Ledbrook Clinic after falling 20 feet from a roof. As a result of his injuries, he had major knee reconstruction surgery and external fixation of his fractured tib and fib. Unfortunately, his knee started to give way with no warning, resulting in some very nasty falls. He came to the Ledbrook Clinic after being referred to the clinic for a medico-legal orthotic assessment. After trying all the usual stock knee braces which did not stop him falling, he was fitted with a carbon fibre KAFO with Otto Bock select knee joints and Fior & Gentz ankle hinges. The brace had to be very strong as this patient was 18 stone.

Our technicians did an amazing job for this patient: it is the Rolls Royce of orthotics.
